Tough Poets Review is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit literary organization that champions uncompromising works from writers and artists across lifestyles and generations. We operate on a core set of principles: that our platform be noncommercial and instead be used to support our contributors; that we organize programming to bring people together in imagining new ways of addressing social issues; and that we resist digital extraction by remaining print-only, preserving a physical archive. We will never charge submission fees, always pay those whose work fills our pages, and remain open to experimentation with every issue.
Your tax-deductible donation will fund payments to our contributors, allow us to host in-person readings and workshops, offset the cost of quality printing to ensure the best possible representation of our visual artists’ work, and sustain the operations essential to keeping our journal independent, offline, and exclusively human.
